Post and rail is a popular style of fencing for lifestyle blocks. It is an attractive form of rural fencing and is often used for driveways, road frontages, tree surrounds and equestrian facilities. Post and rail is an eye catching feature to enhance any property.
A common style is to have three rails,
however this can be modified to include wires, more/less rails,
outriggers/insulators for electric wires, kick rails, cap rails. The size of posts can also be
changed to suit the site.
Large square posts as a feature can enhance a sweeping driveway. Ferguson
Contractors can also construct custom made gates that can accentuate the entrance way.

Electric fences can increase the functionality of the fence and make them more stock proof, e.g. outriggers can be used on post and rail fencing to keep horses apart. Electric wire systems can be added to new or existing fence lines. Our contractors can also assess your existing electric fences and repair if possible and/or replace.
Strainers are the large fence posts that are used to give the fence extra strength and provide anchoring points. Strainers will be used at the openings (gateways) to provide strength when hanging the gate. Each strainers/stay is priced in addition to the standard fence costs so it is advantageous to plan the fence line carefully to ensure that a minimum number of angles is required. Our contractors are very experienced in farm fencing for stock control and aesthetics so can advise you on the most economical and functional plan for your fencing.
